What is Event Trends (for Organisers)?

Event Trends in WHR gives organisers a live radar on the market: what kinds of events are growing, where competitors are active, inbound-outbound audience estimates by industry, and how audience and sponsor budgets are shifting.

Running a successful event isn’t just about execution—it’s about timing, positioning, and market awareness. Event Trends helps organisers answer questions like:

  • Which industries are increasing their event activity?

  • What’s happening in nearby regions that could draw away your audience?

  • How are exhibitors and sponsors allocating their budgets across events?

  • Which dates or months are seeing demand spikes?

  • Which geography has growing inbound & outbound audience by industry?

Instead of relying on anecdotal intel, organisers get data-backed insights to make strategic calls—when to schedule, where to host, and how to pitch sponsors.

Steps

  1. Open the Trends tab in WHR.

  2. Choose your pivot: industry, region, audience, or event type.

  3. Set your timeframe (next quarter, next year).

  4. Explore charts and filters for sponsors, exhibitors, or attendee demand.

  5. Export or share insights with your planning team.

Tips

  • Always compare your own sector against 1–2 adjacent industries for context.

  • Use regional trends before locking in venues—spikes may signal where demand is shifting.

  • Watch competitor-heavy dates to avoid calendar collisions.
